Charles “Chuck” Buchanan, 71, of Edinburgh, passed away June 16, 2016.  Born October 11, 1944, in Evansville Indiana, Chuck is the son of Ralph and Dolores Buchanan.

On November 16, 1974, Chuck married the love of his life, Betsy Moore. 20 years later, on November 19, 1994 they renewed their vows.

Chuck worked hard at being retired. He was a WWII history buff and spent his spare time building model airplanes. He was a life member of the VFW Axillary Post 1987 in Columbus, and a longtime volunteer at the USO of Indiana, Camp Atterbury.

Chuck was preceded in death by his parents; Ralph and Dolores Buchanan, father-in-law; Gene Moore, and mother-in-law Ann Moore.

He is survived by his wife; Betsy, brother; David (Meredith) Buchanan, sister; Darlene (Mike) Rhodes, and many special nieces, nephews, and friends.

A memorial service will be held Monday June 27, 2016, at the VFW of Columbus, 215 N. National RD, Columbus, IN. The family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service, at 3:00 p.m.
